SWAGA GYM
SWAGA Gym was founded in 2019 by Dennis Breckenridge and Zin Mar Aung, a passionate husband-and-wife team whose two children are dedicated gymnasts themselves. Driven by their deep love for the sport and firsthand experience as a gymnastics family, they set out to transform the gymnastics landscape in Singapore.
Prior to SWAGA, many programs in Singapore focused heavily on producing competitive results but often lacked inclusivity, demanding excessive training hours and imposing high costs that placed the sport out of reach for many families. Many gyms also lacked the supportive coaching culture which is key to long term success of the athlete’s balancing growth, performance, and encouragement. Recognizing this gap, the founders envisioned a welcoming, family-oriented gymnastics centre where every child and even adults could thrive, regardless of age, ability, or ambition.
SWAGA was created to offer a truly holistic and accessible environment: from toddlers taking their first joyful steps in movement to recreational enthusiasts simply having fun, and all the way to aspiring Olympians pursuing elite-level success. The gym emphasizes three core pillars:
-
Kinder Gym (18 months – 5 years old) — Building fundamental movement skills, coordination, confidence, and joy through play-based learning.
-
Recreational Programs (ages 5–18) — Perfect for beginners, those seeking fun and fitness, or gymnasts who want to develop skills without intense competition pressure.
-
Competitive & Elite Programs — Tailored, performance training (including FIG-level pathways) led by world-class coaches, designed to help athletes achieve local, national, and international goals.
Located at Raeburn Park in Singapore, SWAGA boasts state-of-the-art facilities, experienced international coaches, and a warm community atmosphere complete with a Parent Café. What began as a family dream has grown into a premier gymnastics hub that unites diverse disciplines, fosters friendship, and proves that gymnastics is for everyone.
Under the continued leadership of Dennis and Zin Mar — together with their family’s unwavering passion — SWAGA proudly lives by its inspiring philosophy: “Where the impossible is possible.” Today, it continues to empower gymnasts of all levels to discover their potential, celebrate progress, and enjoy the sport in a supportive, inclusive space.
